Babak Sepanta

Electronic Musician, Sound Artist · Tehran, Iran

Babak Sepanta (born 1988, Tehran, Iran) is a self-taught electronic musician, sound artist, and IT professional. He developed an early interest in diverse styles including classical music, progressive rock, and electronic music, and began by playing guitar before moving to keyboards and synthesizers. As acoustic sound became intellectually insufficient for his practice, he turned to synthesizers, MIDI controllers, and sound design software to work with multiple simultaneous sound channels. His central artistic philosophy holds that 'abandoned voices are everywhere' — sounds that exist but go unheard — and his compositions seek to surface and re-examine those overlooked sonic environments. He operates under multiple project aliases, including OCHNSP (Outer Cultural Harmonic Noise and Sound Project) and the Anarchy Of Music Harmony Project. He has released music on Noise à Noise, appearing on Noise à Noise 24.2: Resistance 2 (2025) with the track 'New Generation Catalogue', a conceptual piece moving through structured electronic elements and repetitive forms that reflects on systems, archives, and the reorganization of inherited structures. The release was compiled and mastered by Soheil Soheili.
