A Mexican musician and vocal performer, Almond specializes in using the human voice as an instrument for sonic exploration. With an M.A. in Sonic Arts from Queen’s University, Belfast, she combines traditional vocal techniques with electronic media to create compositions that dissect and reconstruct personality on stage. Her work often incorporates live visuals and multichannel soundscapes, offering immersive performances that have been presented across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. She is also a member of the downtempo duo Man in Motion and the founder of Alquimia Vocal, a pedagogical platform advancing the use of the voice in performance.
