Shahin Souri: Rhonchus
Composer, Sound Artist · Tehran, Iran
Shahin Souri, also known as Rhonchus (b. 1994, Tehran), is a Tehran-based artist and electronic musician. He began studying music at the age of 10 with classical guitar and later enrolled in the Tehran Music Conservatory, where he studied jazz guitar until 2013. Since then, he has developed a practice in electronic music, with Rhonchus serving as his project name for rhythmic, experimental techno works, while his real name is used for projects rooted more in ambient and drone soundscapes.
His recent releases include several tape cassette publications on the Swedish label Moloton, alongside works released through Noise à Noise.
