Hadi Bastani

Hadi Bastani is a sound artist, composer, and anthropologist interested in the impact of sound and digital technologies on the formation of new modes of practice, thinking, and sociality. His artistic practice engages with field recording, digital signal processing, and spatial audio in immersive compositions, performances, and installations. His work has been presented at festivals and art spaces including Sonorities at Queen's University Belfast, TADAEX in Tehran, and IKLECTIC Art Lab in London. Alongside his artistic work, Bastani researches experimental electronic music practices in Iran and has presented academic work at international conferences such as the International Conference on Live Interfaces (ICLI). He has released music through labels including Zabte Sote, Flaming Pines, and Unexplained Sounds Group, and has worked as a radio producer for BBC Persian and Resonance FM.
