Ali Aghili (geb. 1995) ist ein Komponist mit einem Hintergrund in zeitgenössischer klassischer und minimalistischer Musik. Er begann seine musikalische Laufbahn im Alter von 13 Jahren mit dem Setar und entwickelte später durch Selbststudium ein Interesse an der E-Gitarre und dem Blues. Aghili studierte Persische Musikperformance an der Sepehr-Universität in Esfahan, wo er sich auch mit Musiktheorie, Komposition und Orchestrierung beschäftigte. Zu seinen Werken gehören Orchesterstücke, Quartette und ein Quintett, geprägt von Einflüssen wie Arvo Pärt, Alfred Schnittke, Johnny Greenwood und Edgard Varèse.
Seine Kompositionen befassen sich mit Zeit, Struktur und musikalischer Form und versuchen, über lineare Entwicklungen hinaus ein Gefühl relativer Zeitlosigkeit zu schaffen.
