XSIX
Electronic Music Producer, Sound Artist, Composer · Istanbul, Turkey
XSIX is the project of Farhan Mohajerani, a composer and sound artist originally from Tehran and now based in Istanbul. After studying electronic engineering, music composition, performance, and world instruments in Tehran, he developed a practice spanning electronic rock, trip-hop, IDM, noise, and ambient music.
His work includes sound design for theatre, sound installations, and compositions for poets, often using minimalist and mathematically structured approaches. He has performed at festivals such as TADAEX and the Tehran Contemporary Music Festival, and his releases on labels including Unexplained Sounds and Cold Spring have brought him international recognition.
