Farbod Maeen

Farbod Maeen is a Toronto-based interdisciplinary artist, musician, and educator whose practice spans electroacoustic composition, sound design, instrument building, and audiovisual performance. With a background in architecture, sound, and storytelling, his work explores the intersections of sound, technology, and movement, often drawing on immersive and experimental approaches to composition and live presentation.

His artistic practice is rooted in creating sonic worlds from raw materials, everyday objects, and musical structures shaped by cultural memory and visual imagination. He is also a co-founder of Zerone Duo, through which he develops durational and immersive live works that fuse electronic sound with visual media. Maeen’s work reflects a broad and cross-disciplinary approach to sound as a medium for expression, exploration, and connection.
