Ramin Ashtari (b. 1984) is a visual artist from Tehran. He received a B.A. in painting in 2008.
Ashtari works with different media depending on what each idea demands, including painting, sculpture, sound and photography. His piece "CNC Machines and more" on Noise à Noise 23: Noise vs. Silence was recorded in the atmosphere of a woodworking workshop in Iran: the drone and buzz of CNC machines, the hum of electricity, the compressor and the pumps, tracked during a short sound walk and centred on the sounds of the machinery shutting down. He also conceived and designed the graphics for that compilation.
