“Music is my lens, a way I perceive and connect with the world.” Yeonjoon Yoon is a composer, pianist and producer whose work joins a virtuoso classical foundation with an ongoing exploration of culture, identity and new forms. Études: Triptych, selected by the Seoul Foundation of Arts, puts piano études by Chopin and Glass in dialogue with his own, premiering at Seoul National University's Powerplant in October 2025. He has played Beethoven's Third Piano Concerto with his own cadenza with the Konzerthaus Berlin Orchestra, and arranged and performed music for the drama Maestro and Lee Myung-se's film The Killers. He trained at the Juilliard School, Yale University, the Guildhall School and the Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik Berlin, and was the first Korean, and unanimous, winner of the Guildhall Gold Medal; BBC Music Magazine named him a Rising Star.
