Jakub Rataj (b.1984) is a Czech composer of orchestral, chamber and electroacoustic music. His works often explore the interaction between sound installations and performance inspired by the human body, movement, breath and gesture. His compositions have been presented internationally and commissioned by ensembles such as Orchestr Berg, Prague Modern and Low Frequency Trio. Rataj studied composition in Prague and Paris and has collaborated with musicians including Quatuor Tana, Pascal Gallois and Matteo Cesari.
