Martyna Kosecka is a Polish composer, performer, conductor, curator and researcher in new music, whose work grows out of her interest in philosophy, physics, linguistics and the myths and fables of the world. In her projects she works with narrative, microtonality, symbolism and ritual through multidisciplinary means, and draws on the transcultural ties between Iran, Poland and Norway, the countries her life has connected. Since 2023 she has been a PhD Research Fellow at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, researching mini-opera and the role and treatment of women in contemporary society. Her compositions are published by Donemus, and her music has been performed at festivals and concerts around the world, including Warsaw Autumn, Rainy Days, Ostrava Days and the Music Biennale Zagreb.
