Farzanegan – The Last Minutes of the Road

Press Release: Shahab Jafari Releases "Farzanegan: The Last Minutes of the Road" on aNoise
Berlin/Kerman, February 6, 2026 – Independent label aNoise announces the release of "Farzanegan: The Last Minutes of the Road," a poignant string quartet single by Iranian composer Shahab Jafari. Timed the incident's anniversary on February 7, which coincides with the Bandcamp Friday even in this month. This modern classical work immortalizes the final moments of a tragic bus crash.
The Incident
On the road from Shahdad camp to Kerman near Sirch junction, a bus carrying brilliant female students from Farzanegan High School (a school for gifted youth) overturned just minutes from home. Nine stars were lost—futures extinguished in an instant of chaos, systemic failure, and unrelenting silence. Jafari's piece captures this: mounting tension, loss of control, and the wounded hush of unrealized dreams.
