Shahab Jafari – Blade & Light
Kerman/Berlin – aNoise is proudly announcing the digital-pre order and the release of Shahab Jafari’s latest album: ‘Blade & Light. This composition series is a sequel to his previous music album ‘The Blind City’.
This composition series narrates the story of a blind city where demons have stolen sight and voice, burying truth beneath fear. An unnamed girl steps forward from a distant village, carrying two symbols: a blade to break tyranny, and a light to restore wisdom.
Shahab Jafari (b. 1992 in Kerman, Iran) is a distinguished art researcher and composer with a specialized Ph.D. in art research, focusing on music. He is renowned for his exploration of diverse sounds using elements of Iranian art and reflecting social and philosophical themes in his compositions. His previous releases include Dream, an EP from 2024, and Kowli, a single also released in 2024, and prequel to this album: ‘The Blind City’.
Blade & Light – New orchestral music album by Shahab Jafari
The album features a dedicated ensemble and production team. The String Section performances include Violin I by Ali Samadi, Violin II by Abbas Afrinesh, Viola by Rosha Khodaii, and Cello & Double Bass by Zahra Neizadeh. Keyboard and Plucked instruments were handled by Mehrnoush Ataei on Piano and Mahnaz Kadkhodaei on Harp. The Woodwind & Brass Section includes Flute & Piccolo by Adel Abolhassanzadeh, Clarinet & Bass Clarinet by Yavar Allahverdi, Oboe & English Horn by Niloofar Zahedinia, Bassoon by Kouhyar Rajabi, Trumpet by Mandana Kaviani, Trombone by Tara Mahallati, French Horn by Avisa Baghezadeh, and Tuba by Diba Zandi. The Percussion Section was performed by Reza Jahromi on Timpani and Hana Kheyamian on Bass Drum, Side Drum, Cymbals, Triangle & Auxiliary Percussion.
The album was recorded at Prima Studio, with Yarmohammad Jafari serving as the Recording & Electronic Sound Design Engineer. The Mix was collaboratively done by Shahab Jafari and Navid Shahbeygi, while Soheil Soheili managed the final production and the publication process.
This album is on preorder on Bandcamp as of December 13th 2025, and will be released on 12.02.2026.
